    Whoever designed that place wants shooting. Gridlock to get in off the bypass, and then when you're finally in and parked, you take your life in your own hands walking around. It's obviously not part of the plan to park and walk around the whole site. I think you're supposed to drive from Asda to B&Q, and then drive down to Sports Direct. Heaven forbid anyone should want to go from Morrisons to Next and do something as crazy as walking the 100 yards.

    No crossings, no paths (other than the ones people have made where they want a path to be).

    Total nightmare.

    I know where the various car parks are, it's just that if you're turning right off the dual carriageway, you are forced into the lane for Morrisons. (Unless you cut someone up). .... but regardless of where you park, it's still not a pedestrian friendly site.

    I know, went a few weeks back on a setdi afternoon. It is an absolute accident waiting to happen. You wouldnt think developers could fook summat like this up to this scale in this day and age. They must have paid peanuts and had monkeys designing that place!

    Hate the place. Road discipline and general courtesy just seem to disappear once you get on site.

    The 'other' one in the corner between B&Q and sports direct? If you mean that one it's actually a staff carpark but that's not really important. What is important is that it is the most secure of all the carparks on the site with the best quality CCTV cameras overseeing it. Also there are no roads to cross to access any of the main shops if you park there.

    Random fact. SCS is stuck in the middle of a carpark getting in the way of everything because it is supposed to be a KFC with a drive thru round it.

    If it was all that bad the place would be littered with bodies.

    I can't honestly remember one car pedestrian collision down there and I have been down 2-3 times a week since it opened. Correct me if you know better.

    I have seen the odd car running into the back of another but that's just inattentive driving.

    Getting from McDs to Morrisons can be a bit tricky but that is down to the idiots who drive down the bus access road.

    The big problem for me are the idiots who don't slow down for the Hemmingfield roundabout the entire roads to it needs a 50 mph speed limit on it.

    Coming from Hemingfield at the roundabout some people stay in the right-hand lane to turn left so they can stay in the right-hand lane going up towards Brampton, now that is dangerous.

    It's left lane for turning left and right lane for straight on, I'll go into the left lane and turn left and then into the right lane when it's clear because that's safer than turning left and straight into the right lane, even though that's correct, when is the right-hand lane ever for turning left?

    Erm that is how the road system works in this country isn't it? If you are turning left at a roundabout then you get in the left hand lane regardless of what you want to do once you're on the road you've turned onto. Unless of course signposts tell you differently.

    for anyone thats interested,you can go on the bbc archives web site and view the news footage and panorama programmes from during the strike,plenty of action from cortonwood.
