Seen as though a lot of people don't understand it, the way I see it is that you can watch the Wednesday game and either the Birmingham or Blackburn game for £40, if you have a members card. The club takes a lot of stick but for me £20 to watch potentially our biggest home game of the season is pretty good. If you're still struggling to understand it: It's £28 for the Wednesday game, or £25 with a members card, i'd assume if you get a matchday ticket regular then you've got one. This means you get a tenner off one of the other 2 games, which in effect means, for example you can have a Blackburn ticket for £15. Thats £40 to watch 2 championship matches. I could go through and spend hours finding the 6 or 7 other grounds you could go to cheaper, but thats silly. I could also make a list of the clubs who'll be charging more over christmas but then i'd probably get abused for sticking up for my club. Do what you like, pay the money if you want to, don't if you don't want to, but please stop whinging about ticket prices, especially when the club are making the effort to do something about it, albeit belatedly (sp).
Only cos its on tv or it would be top whack for the pigs. They are making an effort though, but it only adds to the confusion, Simplify less man hours, less brain power, less marketing and then some of the staff can get on wi sum proper work. Time and Motion needed immediately Patrick.
I have joined members club If you get ticket on line it's an extra £3 charge and if you want to pick ticket up you have to get there at least one and half hours before kick off. Load of ********. Give you a members card and pay on gate. Problems solved and I cannot get to ground earlier anyway
exactly! the vast majority of offers from the club take no account of anybody living away or restricted with time because of work etc
But it is one price. The club were criticised for this categorisation thing last year so they made it a standard price, £28. If I couldn't make every game, maybe one or 2 a month, i'd buy a member card thing at the start of the season, then every game would cost me £25, unless the club decide to drop the price. it is a uniform price, with an added incentive.
In your case, the club ought to use their brain and think of a way that would suit you better. I'd imagine there are a few who are in a similar boat. The person who posted about the German club (Dortmund was it?) yesterday made an excellent point about how they cater to individuals situations.
Are you thick, we cannot get there early and the price is extra to get on line So what's the point, drop the price to £25 full stop and pay on gate. When I brought it up they said they do not do the booking it is done by outside firm. Also they need you to book so they can order enough crap food. I said I would not eat that crap if you gave it me with ticket
Yes I know that, that's why I replied to your particular post with this: In your case, the club ought to use their brain and think of a way that would suit you better.
