FA Youth Cup 3rd Round in Thame - at least one Reds fan will be there

    11 December, Oxford United V Barnsley at the ASM stadium, Thame.
    Princes Risborough is about 6 miles from Thame so, all being well, I will be there to watch my first Barnsley youth team game in many, many years. The question is, do the players have names on their backs because I won't recognise any of them. Should be a good chance of progressing to the next round.
    I'll post a report on here afterwards

    Thought that might be the case - I will probably recognise Rose and Clark from their brief appearances in the first team but the rest will be unknowns. In which case the report will be a bit sketchy. That area is prone to fog as well so could be tricky

    you can recognise Rose,Clark Scott Kilburn Steade as much as you like. They will not play in that game. It's the u18's playing not the u19's.

    Abbott, Oats shilito are the better players at that level.

    You know where the ground is, do you? It is right by the roundabout on the western side of the town. If you follow the ring road from the Oxford direction around Thame it is right there just before you turn left for Risborough. "Stadium" it aint!!

    Great. At this rate they might need extra stewarding to control the rowdy away element. I shall be wearing my Barnsley scarf, just to help them with crowd control ;)
