    Massive losses year on year

Lessons not being learnt. Bristol City nearly went out of existence thirty years ago through financial mismanagement and appear to be walking down the same road yet again.

Theyve spent less than a million on players but their wage bill has gone up by 3 million. Just how much did they offer these players that werent worth much?

I just hope that we can avoid the drop this year, and until the full force of FFP come in (Granted you can still make a loss). But at least we won't be "Breaking even" whilst teams continuously decide to lose this amount every year. By then, we may become a strong mid table team.

I fear though, we will drop and the teams that have continuously flaunted losses of this magnitude will still be in their, whilst we then have to do another round of austerity measures bacause our income has dropped further (Sounding like Dave & Co now)

    Crap init

    Their turn over has dropped

From £11.9M to £11.8M, yet they now have a wage bill of £18.6M. The annual loss is over £3M greater than the previous financial year.

Wasn't our wage bill at about £7 million? Or did I dream that?

If so - massive perspective lads.

    Correct

It's easy to spend someone else's money. But Bristol City is a stark warning to those who would do so.

    There's simply no excuse

For a club being so poorly run financially.
Hope to see you tonight , mate.

    Just remember

You can only keep players who want to be here and even then you may have to move them on for the short term financial well being of the club.

Its amazing how someone else's bad news can make you feel a bit better about your own club's plight...
Let's hope we can stay in the division, because I do think there will be a bunch of clubs in trouble over the next few years.

    I think you're right

I wonder how many other Championship clubs are run as badly as Bristol City?

    A few.

Leicester have had to cut there budget this year but there losses would be up there i would think. Ipswich will be bad too. Also they have ST's at 700 pound or did the last time i checked. (yes thats only a part of the round but still very high. )

    I haven't seen

The financial returns of any other clubs, so I simply don't know.
