We've just earned a fantastic draw away at one of the best teams in the league and yet people still moan! I'd of snatched your arm off if you'd of offered it to me at five to 3 and so would most on here if not all. I'm chuffed with the result today and but for a late equaliser I'd of been delirious. Get real people that's a cracking result under any circumstances and a great building block for next week against a Wednesday side that are struggling. Get behind them
I think the frustration is that it was a late equalizer which was again avoidable. Couple of substitutions which baffled again and different players could have come on which may very well have secured 3 points. But no, we will be bloody thankful for 1.
Hopefully 3 points on Saturday will gee people up a bit and get us going again ready for a tough Christmas fixture list!
I've never understood this "would have took a point before the game" mentality - I think people will moan about today because as the game panned out we end up leading for a large chunk of it only to throw it away at the end. The tactics in the second half were far too negative and Leicester's goal was inevitable to be honest. Who knows, if we'd have played the same way we did in the first half then who knows we might have got hammered but sometimes attack is the best form of defence.
Or we'd have been far to open and we would have let 4 or 5 in! It's a tricky one isn't it? As it is though we've battled and earned a valuable point that should give them a lift after recent results. Jim o'brien starting hopefully means hills will play him more often now because I think he's a real leader out there and for me a decent shout for the captains armband. Leeds away last year he was immense and I think he will thrive playing in the situation were in currently he just needs hill to give him a run in the team.
Some folk want Hill out and they probably saw a loss here and a draw or loss against Wednesday as being enough to enforce the 'two games and out' theory. We got a point against a very good side - could have won but also lost if not for Steele apparently making some good saves to keep us in the game. Perhaps quite rightly I didn't see too many people before the game giving us any chance of a draw, never mind a win, and when we were one goal down after 10 mins the knives were being sharpened. It's a shame we couldn't hold on for the win, but when you look our poor run of form and Leicester's home record before the game (W8 D1 L1 - For 24 Against 7) a 2-2 draw was a highly commendable result and makes us one of only 2 other sides to take points from them at home.
I think the two game theory came about because all hell will be let loose if we lose to the fowls, especially if we had lost today as well, and people who dont particularly want Hill out said his job would be very much on the line if that happened. It wasn`t just an Hill out theory.
An excellent away point. People just gutted that we have thrown it away so late on. I am sure the players will still take something from it though, especially scoring 2 goals, so it's a decent result to go into what is now our biggest game of the season. Hill shouldn't have been sacked even if we lost today, it is next week which is the MASSIVE (no pun intended) test of Hill's ability to keep us up.
No but my point was before hand from what was expected a draw would be a good result. We drew yet people are still moaning which just says to me people will moan whatever happens so hill can't win. We've ground out a decent result today that was so nearly a fantastic result but its still not good enough.
The day is tainted by us dropping into the bottom 3. I am sure most people would think it a good result in any other circumstances. But our situation has got worse today. It can be hard to see any positive from an away point that was so nearly 3.
At full time I was a bit deflated like everybody else but looking at the bigger picture its a long season and it will be a good point when we look back in may!
If we win next week then Hill will probably have earned himself some more time but if we lose I really don't see where he can go.
People are moaning because of the relegation battle, or surrendering to it, which ever you prefer, and the rubbish which has been served up this season. A point at Leicester won't save us from the drop. The same mistakes are being made time and time again. The lower league players in our team simply aren't good enough.
Basically they're will be 3 from 4 going down this season it's a mini league we will finish top of that no worrys
I always look at it this way.............is there 3 teams worse than Barnsley....................yes, so I think we'll stay up.
I think its some peoples persona to moan and that's fine if it makes them happy.I'm sure if the pitch was light green some would complain that its not dark enough.
