If the reason why Bobby doesn't get picked has nothing to do with football (I suspect it does), then what is it? It's too easy for Hill's critics to suggest there's something else at play because it suits their agenda, and then the truth is lost. So could someone explain what these 'other' reasons are, please? Either on thread or via PM. It's doing my nut in. It's also worth bearing in mind given the stick Hemsworth got about defamation RE: Hassell & Matt Murray, there's no difference legally between what Hemsworth said and saying that Hill 'only picks his mates' - or something similar.
There is a hell of a difference mate! I cant see anyone on here saying the things about Hill that Hemmsy said about Hassell.
TBH I think it is just that Hill doesn't think he's good enough, over the years lots of managers have overlooked players they don't think will do a job, managers change or players move club and become successful,so even though I disagree with Hill on this one,I wouldn't think there's more to it than that.
You're missing my point. It's not the content but the principle. People who say Hill 'only picks his mates' are at just as much at risk of having legal action taken against them as Hemsworth is saying one bloke is noshing another one off. But in reality, neither is REALLY at risk. I was trying to point out the hypocrisy more than anything.
I am missing no pointy at all mate, it is no where near the same thing at all, plus Hemsworth really was at risk of legal action, believe me!! PM sent
