Nothing will ever change at the club whilst we have the current set up at the top. We're lacking in so many areas above the manager that whoever we have in charge will struggle. That said, I'm getting increasingly frustrated by Hill's baffling decsions/tactics/team selections. But I am finding it difficult to think of anyone who'd do better. We NEED to make changes from the top down. We need a proper board, we need an injection of money, we need people at the club who know football/business, people who have set jobs/roles/responsibilities and not just Don!
Probably not, but inevitably if we bring in someone else they will go and spend what little money we have trying to bring in their own players and we just can't afford yet another complete team overhaul. But then I'd pay to get rid of some of the players we have currently! I just don't know what I think we should do re. Hill but I do know if things don't change in one way or another, we will certainly go down this season.
Rowing's lack of vision, drive and initiative is the key problem in our off the field problems if you ask me. He's stealing a living at the club and does nothing to grow the club's commercial and PR activity. He's a dinosaur that has no idea how to market the club on a restricted budget or how to exploit contemporary media channels. Cryne is to blame for still employing him.
But I am finding it difficult to think of anyone who'd do better. Humpty fookin dumpty could do better than the worst Barnsley manager for over 20 odd years, and thats after he'd had a great fall!
