I keep hearing this then look at; 8 wins in 2012 4 points from a possible 33 8 home goals this season They are right, who could do better?
He wants to keep possession of the ball in none dangaerous areas where our players aren`t under that much pressure as a form of defence, sorry but this is far too negative and then last quarter of the game we start launching balls and trying to pick up the second ball in a dangerous area to create a few chances. Entertainment value poor. But if you like watching it fair enough I dont.
For the first time, a definite no. Can't take any more - we've just lost to one of the worst sets of championship players I've ever seen and all it needed was a smidgen of tactical nouse to take 'em to the cleaners. Hill does not have even that much. sadly.
No. Was 100% behind Hill up until a few games ago. After the Hull & Derby away matches and the home match vs. Huddersfield, I had my doubts but thought he deserved a bit more time. Today I sat at Oakwell and honestly couldn't think of where our next win was going to come from and what a win felt like so on that basis..Hill out for me.
Absolutely gutted that we lost to a sh*te Wednesday side but we didn't play badly and were unlucky not to score. I've watched a lot worse than this over the years. I'd still rather have our team, manager and style of football than Wednesday's. Still believe in keeping the faith however bleak the future looks at the moment because I genuinely believe Hill will get it right, and chucking yet another teddy out of the cot cos the results aren't going our way yet will make us look foolish to any independent observer. Now's not the time to panic. Hill's luck will change. So YES!! Hill in. Great time to have a vote on the manager straight after losing to Wednesday - NOT!
It's a big jump to blame luck for the run we are on this calendar year. I don't give a **** what any independent observer thinks either.
I'm not blaming luck for every game we've lost or drawn when we should have won but we were unlucky tonight, prompting, in my opinion, some over-the-top reactions. What I'm getting at with the independant observer bit is that anyone with a bit of distance from the club will see sacking the manager as a typical Barnsley reaction when we lose a few. That's all.
Lose a few? He's lost over 50% of his games. We've only won 8 this year and got four points from the last possible 33. This is not a short term problem!
