Sorry if I repeat what everyone else has said, I haven't read any of the board yet.

I don't know if Wednesday were the worst side I've ever seen at this level, but they were certainly the worst side I've seen for quite a while. But they beat us. What does that say about us? We may well have been the better team and had the better chances, but they beat us.

I heard the team when I was in the pub and I just thought, "Oh ****". Why did we drop our wide men? Why did we play so narrow? Wednesday were a sitting duck, ready to be torn apart, but we just filled the middle of the park, scared of what they might do to us.

The last 25 minutes was probably the worst formation and tactics I've ever seen a Barnsley team adopt. 4 at the back, 3 in the middle of the park stood on one another's toes (one of whom is a very decent winger by the way) and 3 up front. Then just launch the ball aimlessly to the front three. Why weren't we attacking them down the flanks, creating space and opening them up? It felt like rock bottom to me.

    Awful today Keith, just awful.

Did we ********. We played two central defensive midfielders with a winger stood directly in front of them in the centre of the pitch. Nobody on the wings at all.

They were doing a piss poor job of attacking down the wings if that was what they were supposed to be doing. Neith Stones nor Golbourne could put a decent cross in if their life depended on it

I didn't see us using the wings. Even when we brought O'Brien on we had no width.

We did we had Stones effectively on the right wing and Davies on the left some of the time. but I am splitting hairs we didnt have enough width and thats the key point

I'm with Mark, Golbourne put over two cracking crosses we should have scored from. Not saying we had enough width but the full backs were pushed on

We attacked a bit down the flanks second half, but not nearly enough and still Davies running the left channel and not being in the box when it mattered. Stones was calling for the ball loads and then just let them just take it off him and be miles out of position.

Not much endeavour in that formation. Improved with the substitutions and I don't think Marlon Harewood is completely a lost cause.

Wednesday were there for the taking and we blew it. If ever there was a game for RNL to get a bit of continuity to his good form, this was it.
