I agree with steve Claridge. Faster got 2 hands to the ball, it should ahve been 2 fists. danger cleared why on earth did he try to catch that
Do you mean Steele should have punched it ? Why? He caught the ball, no problem, he was fouled. bad refereeing, Steele is not at fault for that!
He caught it then was thumped in the ribs by someone making no attempt to play the ball and so dropped it - its a blatant foul - anyone who tries to blame Steele for not realising that the opposition were going to be allowed to do that and get away with it is talking ******
He made a valid point but then reverted to type with his opinion of the Foster challenge. The worst you'll see this season, worthy of a four match ban, a career threatening challenge. Really Steve?
Yeah he will be back tomorrow and Dyson will be close behind too! In case anyone says anything bad to Hemmsy!
he never caught it, flapped at it, but never had it under control. you saying a keeper should try and catch a ball with arms out stretched while 2 strikers puting him under pressure Should have punched. but sorry forgot we cant say owt wrong about Steele, not even when he had a rush of blood and run to edge of box in second half.
You can criticise all you like and yes hindsight is great he could have punched it but this picture explains quite well why its bad reffing rather than bad keeping in this case -the Wednesday player even admitted after the game he barged steele and should have been penalised http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?179235-Clear-foul-on-keeper
Because it was a simple catch.... .. and the reason he dropped it was because he was fouled!! He's been taking those all season. It was a bloody awful decision by the referee.
