Must be their Cup Final!! Note the comment below about how they see us. Should be a tough test - 13 successive wins for the home team. Oh, and by the way - it is BUCKETING it down outside so our silky passing skills might drown in the Oxfordshire mud....

Youth team set for Barnsley clash

It's a big night for United's under 18 side as they return to FA Youth Cup action against Barnsley tonight (7.30pm).

Chris Allen's youth side have won an astonishing 13 games in a row but will have their work cut out against the Championship side when they line up at Thame United in the re-arranged second round tie.

A home tie against Stevenage awaits the winners, but Chris Allen only has eyes for tonight's game:

"It's irrelevant who you would face in the next round. All you have to do is concentrate on this round, the rest will take care of itself. We have had a great run recently and been in very good form but Barnsley will be the best side we have played so far. The boys are really looking forward to it, they are buzzing at the moment, and it should be a fascinating match to watch."

United will be missing Jacob Hughes, who sits out the game with a groin injury, but top scorer James Roberts is available, as is Callum O'Dowda who has been in the goals recently.

There is always a warm welcome at Thame's ASM Stadium. Admission is £5 adults, £3 for concessions so come along and support the boys.

But if you can't make it, we hope to have live match commentary through Yellow Player so tune in and back the U's for what should be another great night of cup football.

Just getting ready to go out to the match now. Pouring down - wonder if it will be on? Oh well....
I will post some kind of a report on here later.

Yup, I got there at 7.10 to find the same. Not surprising with the amount of rain round here today. Bet the boys are happy coming all that way down for nothing
