he weren't a bad little winger in his barnsley playing days neither, for't lower divisions anyway. i for one wouldn't stand in his way for a managers job at well tbh.

Harewood was the best striker on the pitch on Saturday !

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Never had a problem with Warnock. Morgan, for what he did to Hume, is the obvious candidate. Deetee's call re: Leon Knight wins it for me though: Loathsome little *****.

    Leon, that is. Not Deetee.

Morgan and Burton for me. O'Callaghan used to wind me up a fair bit too.

I'd have Warnock back as manager any day. I'd even go and pick him up.

He's a nice bloke. I had a conversation with him on the sea front in Cleethorpe before we played Grimsby.

How many managers have his record of getting teams promoted?

He did (although he could hardly miss, seem to remember Dyer did the hard work!), but what he did at Grimsby that day wound me up more than pretty much anything I've seen at a match. Maybe just a personal thing...

In hindsight I'll revise my vote to a joint one with Morgan though

My mate who is a former journalist said that of all the hundreds of people he's interviewed over the years Warnock was the nicest, most approachable down to earth character.
    I like him.

Why Rankin? And O'Callaghan? Might be before my time but i always remember Rankin as giving 100% and O'Callaghan as being a reserve player who never really took his chance

Rankin didn't give 100%. He rarely gave 20%. Him going mental when he scored for Grimsby against us when he was still our player and merely on loan to Grimsby didn't endear him to us either.

That goal he scored concealed a multitude of sins.

Rankin was treated like crap at BFC. I was at that Grimsby game and he responded in kind to the abuse he was receiving. It was embarrassing.

'Hate' is a inappropriate word to use for anyone who has pulled on the red shirt of Barnsley. The one player in recent memory who I seriously resented was David Tuttle. One of Bassett's old boys, apparently a dressing room wag, stood about laughing in front of the Ponty at his own ineptitude and the ball in the back of our net.

O'Callaghan?? at the time, the club was on its arse and the likes of O'Callaghan, Mulligan, Kay, Fallon etc where more bothered about been out on the ale them what was happening at the club. I remember us playing a game on a Wednesday evening during their spell at the club and we lost quite heavily, it didn't stop those wasters named above living it up in the old Battlefields nightclub (name escapes me)

Chris Morgan, there's still some blunts who still try to kid themselves by saying it was accidental, which gets on my goat even more.

Michael McIndoe is a greedy arrogant little ***** too.

Fair play. Didnt know much behind the scene stuff back then. I once went to a reserve game and O Callaghan was playing, seemed like he was a right nutter and every other word on pitch was a swear word. Heard he played in the Champions League a few seasons ago.... Some preliminary round for an Irish team!

    Morgan for obvious reasons.

Don't like Mido as he came here and stole a wage, with seemingly no intention of getting fit. I'm saying him as its still so fresh in the mind and we can't afford to waste money like we did on his wages.
