Have we signed a load of players who are incapable of marking the opposition?

Or are the training regimes and match tactics simply inadequate when it comes to defending balls delivered in to the box? It seems like every week we concede a goal from a header. Two more today and there was no one within 5 yards of Curtis Davies when he nodded home the winner.

No idea why Perkins let the the ball go out for a corner which resulted in their first. He could have easily stopped it and had no way of knowing which way the decision would go. No idea why he was substituted either, we were a much worse team after that.

One of the reasons for that could be that Craig Davies came on who was just awful. Don't think I've ever seen a penalty hit so high. Butland could have stood on the cross bar and he still wouldn't have reached it.

Another poor team have come to Oakwell and left with all three points. It's just so easy.

i think we have inferior players, they are not mentally clever enough. i don't know much football is played with the brain but our players are not capable of thinking about or recognising danger quickly enough. We have been poor defensivly for more than a long time now , and not just under KH.

millwalls penalty on saturday was quite bad!

You say that but how clever do you have to be to pick up a man and stay with him? its basic defending even if you cant get the ball put them off.
Looking at the problem in its most basic form, Keith Hill has assembled a team that plays decent football at times (unfortunately most of the time in none threatening areas), but can't defend because every other fking manager in the league knows that we are vulnerable to high balls into the box and can't mark properly, and also has the most impotent attack we have had in amny a year!

Do we practice not marking opponents?

Free header after free header, resulting in goal after goal conceded. Once we've let in a goal at Oakwell, we all know we won't win as we're incapable of scoring more than once at home.

you have to be clever enough not to ball watch , not to switch off, not to let your man run off you. our players are not clever enough to do that. marking someone is not a physical job, a payer doesnt become a good marker by being faster or fitter than another player(although that helps!) he marks him correctly because he thinks about what he's doing. our players dont think.
