The club is dying slowly from top to bottom. Some questions that I have...... 1) Where was the manager hiding? 2) What's happened to Luke Steele? The majority of us wanting him back in the team but today again he let in two tame close range efforts and thankfully Hassell stopped another couple from going the same way. I can't believe we haven't kept a clean sheet since he's come back. 3) Why is Done a better option to come on than Sinclair or Buzasky? 4) Why did Davies get to take the pen? 1 in ten now 1 in 11 for him. Surely the match sharp Tudgay with 3 in seven is a better option. Hard, low and into a bottom corner. Instead he's gave his hometown a gift by taking a pen worse than the one Henderson took against us. 5) Why did we heavily water the pitch when the rain was bucketing down? 6) How much longer will we keep 28 quid prices? Barely 800 away fans from a team that once brought 7k not that long since and usually brings 2k+. 7) Why take off Perkins the clear man of the match? The booing said it all and the standing ovation cheer when he got it backed it up. 8) How do we lose to a team so full of injuries and illness? Really glad the likes of David Murphy, Peter Lovenkrands, Keith Fahey and Marlon King weren't playing. 9) How bad are Hill signings Lee Collins and Rob Edwards if those two fully fit don't get a chance over the gradually worsening Jim Mcnulty?
Today felt to me like the day when our relegation became inevitable. We now need 29 points to reach the magic safety mark of 50, the equivalent of 10 wins, from 22 games. Can anyone honestly see it happening?. There was no spark on the pitch with the usual standard of play it around the safe areas of the pitch until we give it away b0llocks, no spark from the stands where it was as quiet as a library, and I was, in all honesty, bored shitless for large parts of the game. It's as if everyone has given up and can't be arsed any more. It's a sad state of affairs when I find myself watching the clock thinking hurry up and wind down so I can bugger off home and do something more enjoyable. It's no wonder that folk won't pay 28 quid. The club is on its arse and I can only see it turning around after some time rebuilding in League 1 because even if we survive this year we only have the prospect of more unappealing fare and more struggle next year and more and more folk will not be up for it at these prices.
He didn't command his own six yard box again for both goals. As i've said before goals conceeded in our own six yard box is my number one pet hate as I can't understand with all the protection goalies get from refs why keepers stand around in there and hope a defender deals with it. If other goalies in recent times like Preece or Alnwick had let those two in yesterday the BBS would have been all over them. The first was worse of the two.
I got the impression he didn't want to get that shooting jacket wet. As with his footballing philosophy, there is an obsession with style over practicality.
