The fact that 'stubs's are still used is laughable, it's 2013 (well almost) not 1996. It should all be computer based, we have them so use them. If people pay on the gate then fair enough, but both options should be used. Everything about the club is just so backwards and 20 years behind! The £10 Wednesday discount really did well on the last 2 gates.

Why not a tenner for all adults, stubbs or not, try and get a full house.

Agreed, or the £12.50 offer should have been used a hell of a lot more this season. Under 18s and family tickets should be cheap and available at every game as well!!

So is it a Peterborough ticket stub or a Wednesday ticket stub you need..or both??

Tomorrow is the last chance for Reds supporters with a Sheffield Wednesday ticket stub to take advantage of a £10* discount for the Blackburn Rovers match at Oakwell.

Available from the Oakwell Box Office until 1.30pm, supporters can claim their discount in addition to their Oakwell 1887 membership scheme and Peterborough ticket stub/Special match voucher 'I' from a Season Ticket book, meaning an adult ticket could cost as little as £10!

Discounted tickets are only available from the Oakwell Box Office until 90 minutes before kick-off. Admission is available on the turnstiles on a cash-only basis for the followingonly: Adults £28, Over 65s and U18s £18.

*£10 discount for Blackburn adult ticket upon production of a Sheffield Wednesday adult ticket stub at the Box Office (available until 1.30pm). £5 discount for Blackburn concession ticket (not including 5-11) upon production of a Sheffield Wednesday concession ticket stub at the Box Office (available until 1.30pm.)

Nice and easy deal for the fans to understand...not!

Right, I was a season ticket holder from 1994/95. I've been going since 1974. The club have my email address. I've had no contact from the club since my renewal lapsed. Valued customer ? How about contacting all lapsed season ticket holders on the data base an offer of say £40 for the next three home games ? I know that includes Leeds but nothing ventured nothing gained ?

Btw I think that the current discounting system is far too complicated. Unless I'm mistaken it would be £28 for me tomorrow. I remember when we played Man U in the league cup and it was £25 a ticket. There was outrage and yet £28 against Blackburn hardly raises a comment.

    Football is fecked !

I have said all along that every game should be £20-£22. I would guess that after all these discounted offers it wouldn't be far off anyway. Circus, run by clowns.

I'd like to buy a half season ticket in close season to use at any 12 league games I want over the course of the coming season. I'd pay £160 for that or whatever half a season ticket costs, that would work out well for me and I reckon a lot of exiled supporters. If I use it up, then I pay full whack. I think that would be far too simple though to ever get off the ground. :frown:

The problem which those who run the club seem incapable of grasping is looking at how these offers are being communicated to the fanbase.

Go to the one area where many of the casual supporters will get information these days, Facebook, and this (the attachment below) is what you see. £28 (£25) is the price advertised to the casual fan base, and just take a look at the comments below the banner to see what people think of it.

I absolutely despair at the running of the club these days. God knows how much the collective marketing and pricing decisions made in recent seasons have cost us in lost revenue, and they appear incapable of actually learning from their own mistakes.

Make a Twenty Is Plenty campaign until the end of the season. Any match no matter where you sit as an adult for twenty quid. Pensioners and those with an NUS card no matter how old they are make it a tenner. School children let in for a similar price.

    Ha ha ha ha ha

laughing all the way into league 1 and administration again.

Most stalls on Barnsley market would come up with better marketing than the set of clowns at BFC.

I've got a centenary membership, a golden goal ticket vs port vale, a programme from johnny steele's testimonial, and a season ticket.

If i want an extra ticket for my friend tomorrow, What price do I have to pay, how many days/hours before kick will I have to leave huddersfield to qualify, and will the bovril have run out before kick off again?

    Yours insincerely

    F.Edup

Ps. Here's a novel marketing strategy: £20 a game, pay on gate. Season tickets £300. Concessions half price. End of. Think the Barnsley public might be able to afford & understand that.

To be honest, I can't see any initiatives being rolled out until next season, if at all. If they wanted to trial something, it would make sense to do it now - but sense is a bit thin on the ground by the sounds of it. Any restructure has to be sustained and be instilled in the public consciousness, so they are not trying to fathom out one of Honest Don's Deals the afternoon of the match. Don doesn't realise that he is just one of many after our weekly spare, he makes the mistake of assuming everyone can find the money if we are proper fans - and folk take umbridge over this.

One of the best is 18 quid for school children. So they would have to get min 4.50 a week pocket money to go to one game a month, but then would have no spare money to spend with mates.

    Don Rowing...

WTF???? So this offer only applies if you were present at the Wednesday game, which being £28 and on Sky, was generally only attended by the regular fans. How does this encourage additional support?

Don, you really are **** at your job.
