Been out of a job since June 2011, might he be ready for a new challenge, not heard mentioned in contention for jobs higher up the league

I must confess that was a reservation I had, but I think he is worth a punt, a 40% career management win ratio

He would be my choice, closely followed by Coyle.

Coyle would cost too much, flopped in this league even with premiership parachute payments and he will wait around for an high profile job.

    We always have this discussion:

But I'd love to see someone get the job with some type of link to our club.
I know this doesn't always work, but at a small club like ours we need the "we're all in this together" attitude ... which is easier to get with one of our own.
Steve Davis would be a good appointment.

This isn't just a job as a Football Manager.
This appointment has to bring the board, management, players & fans together.
Good luck with that, you bummers.

He a manager that has big money to spend, so I agree with Farnham_Red, no good on a low budget.:nails:Owen Coyle (if we could afford him) or Sean O'Driscoll for me.

Like the sound of somebody with links to the club, but there hasn't been any real clubmen in recent years. Only one, perhaps Bobby Hassell with somebody like Neil Redfearn who has some managerial experience,or perhaps try and get Wilko and Neil Thompson from Wednesday's coaching staff
