...gutted is an understatement. Always felt that he could turn it around but after the first 45 minutes that faith was at it's lowest. Fair play to the powers that be, tonight was the only opportunity to sack him - if not, we needed to keep him for 18 months. They've made the decision and the next appointment needs to have an air of continuity - O'Driscoll does fit the bill in terms of how his teams play and he'd be my choice. But don't expect much difference in terms of performances - just look at how Donny played. Relegation was always a possibility, I just hoped we had the bottle to think longer term. But Keith not learning his lessons was the key reason why he's gone. All the best Keith, I'll always love thi. And I reckon you'll be managing a club higher than us in 5 years time. PS - you are, were and will always be a lovely person if you booed Wiseman.
Third goal a case on point. Pushing for an unlikely equaliser we get an attacking throw ho side ways instead of into the box and five seconds later they score.
I will never boo a Barnsley player, or call for the manager's head while the game is in play. While we are playing, support the team. We need the points! But you are completely out of order with this comment. I thought you had more about you.
I'd been a Hill backer (or rather an opponent of a change we could barely afford which would make little difference given the running of the club) but seeing him in the dugout today was enough to convince me the time was up. It looked like Flitcroft was the one managing the team. That said, I don't relish our prospects of survival no matter who's in charge, while Rowing and Taylor are still pulling the strings behind the scenes. They're the architects of our problems and the next manager will have the same constraints to work with.
I think the strategy is the right one but the risk that comes with it is relegation, even with a manager doing a decent job.
