Mate of mine is a taxi driver for blue line. They have the contract with BFC for ferrying players here there and everywhere.

Anyway he had one of the coaching staff and Toni Silva in his car the other day and got talking, Keith was only at the club 3 days a week plus match days which in my eyes makes him part time.

Flicker was there day in day out doing the training but all team selection and tactics came down to Hill. How could he be in a position to pick a team when only there 3 days a week.

That doesn't mean he wasn't working. Very much doubt he was at home putting his feet up, I have heard from pretty reliable sources that the amount of hard work Keith Hill put into BFC was incredible. Which is why I am very sad that it didn't quite work out for him. I honestly don't think he was very far away from being a decent manager for us, and am sure he will do well in his next job.

Didn't Hill himself say that he didn't work Wednesdays? He was livid that after a poor performance he was going to have to work a wednesday which meant he couldnt go swimming with sidney. That puts him at 4 days a week maximum doesnt it?

If its anything to go by, I was a young un on yts forms at Barnsley and while I was there, the first team always had the Sundays and Wednesdays off. Trained all other days.

They now only have Wednesdays off unless they are playing on a tuesday night and they are in 7 days a week.

The day after trainings normally only a warm down for the players that are playing, for others its a normal training day as i understand and thats normal at 99% of football teams in england.

If they are staying in a hotel they normally take more than the 18 needed.

In interviews the players have said warm downs are done on a Sunday. The younger players are in aswell.

Just because he wasn't at Oakwell doesn't mean he wasn't actually working. He might have been studying Prozone, scouting opponents and all the other jobs that do not actually need him to be at the ground. In fact, I would be more worried about a manager that was at the ground every day.

    Is football really work?

Most people play or coach football for fun, in their spare time, for free (or at personal cost).

Keith Hill is not going to be on the bread line after losing his job at BFC. There are millions of people who lose their jobs across Europe every year and get **** all in terms of a pay off.

Can we stop the bleeding hearts society for Keith.

I wish I got that for being **** at my job.

All I'd get if I got sack would be a shitty reference and a confidentiality clause to sign
