Paul Walker on twitter says that Davies has turned down a new 2 year deal. I for one are getting sick of footballers who take our club for granted if it wasn't for Keith and BFC Davies would still be at Chesterfield.

He has played well in patches but he can't win any headers, has possibly the worst touch I have seen from a striker. There can be no arguing that he has been our main goal threat for the last 2 seasons, yet only 3 months ago he said that he wanted to settle down and make barnsley his home. Then he goes and bangs in 4 against a Birmingham team who played like my sunday league could of beaten them (Under 9's). Now he thinks he is big time again.

Sounds just like Vaz Te again using the club to get to better things really is a shame for our fans.

Would you let him go is we get like £400,000???...

Dont think we will get 400k to be honest -but no its time the club stopped being such a pushover make him play his contract out - if he plays as well as he did first quater of the season he may keep us up - if he plays like the last 10 games he will regret not taking our offer

Obviusly if someone comes in with a silly offer we should take it - but he is no Vas Te or even Butterfield - I think we would do well to get 200K for him and if thats all we can get we may as well make him play the season

To be fair he would have gone somewhere else as I am sure there wasnt just us in for him at the time. I dont necessarily think its as big a deal as it once was. He's been pony for the last few months and throughout his time with the Reds he's been inconsistent at best.

Put a price tag of 2million on him. He is contracted to us, and we need to tell him he is here till end of season. Club has got to stop being a nursery and show some bottle

And what happens at the end of the season Homer? We lose him for nothing? They have us by the balls, they know this.

Why is it a surprise that a player who came on a bosman is likely to leave on One

We at least get him for rest of season which could be better under new manager. If the right manager comes in he might want to stay if we keep up

No he won't, if he has a decent run from now until May, his agent will be fawning him all over for more money.

£200k is peanuts. If he scores 9 more goals it would potentially be worth more than £200k. Worth a punt imho.

No point in flogging him for 200k. If he somehow finds his form again and does manage to keep us up then its worth a hell of a lot more than 200k. If he goes on a free I don't give a flying **** if we've made 5 million or whatever it is by staying in the division.

He hasn't looked right for weeks and him turning down our offer explains why. Drop him and put him on the transfer list. We don't want players who aren't committed to the cause. We should hope for at least 500k.
