..... (which I would have been reasonably happy with) then they should have done two things to back it up. 1) Appoint a senior manager to guide him (Dave Bassett) and 2) tell him he has the rest of the season. Nothing against MM, but it is seniority and wisdom we need to back Flicker up. Decisiveness ! ! Leadership ? What fecking leadership.
Read some posts from a few months back though ..... "Leeds couldn't get the ball off us" ..... "away fans said best footballing team at xxxx all year" and all the gushing comments on here after the Brum match ......... he was half of that "problem" too. He's not my first choice but far from the worst, even if short term.
Who are we to judge Flicker he could have been over ruled by Hill. You can only judge him by letting him do his own ideas. Hope he wins with us at Posh. This board will be different altogether
I'd agree with that, but neither Hill nor Flitcroft were sufficiently experienced IMHO. I'd be looking for a more experienced manager or an experienced assistant.
Spot on Homer My gut feeling is that he gave the board an answer that he would take charge because he wants to put HIS ideas in action, not just be part of Hills plan. And if that is the case I for one will back him as to be honest it takes some guts from the guy. He could easily have been a sheep and blindly followed Keith to the JobCentre or to his next position. Would have been interesting being a fly on the wall Satdi night when Keith and Dave spoke.
