Don't think Steele is as keen to leave as Davies. Sounds like Don sounded Steele out in the summer, but since then he's made noises about wanting to stay. It's not like he's flat out turned down a contract like Davies. I think we should be trying to tie him down to a contract then we know one way or another. We haven't done that yet.

After listening to that - Redfearn matches the brief!

    No bigger fans favourite
    Has coaching ability
Knows exactly what Barnsley is about
    Would unite the supporters
Would want the players to run thru walls for the shirt

    Could be interesting.

The only thing he lacks is the experience.

Listened to that about 5 times. Not because of what he says, it's just he's got a really soothing voice. I think I want to shag him.

He's flopped at management every club he's been at. His legendary player status is blinding you of the fact.

What Don says and Don does is a different thing altogether. Get on with the takeover Don, hopefully they'll come in and shift the man you choose for the managers position anyway.

You seen Redfearns management stats? I'd be a better choice. Mental anyone that even mentions his name

I wouldnt be too sure - may be worth a look in the Job section of the Chron on Friday. Where do Football managers jobs get advertised anyway - Job Centre?
If my limited experience of them is anything to go by when I was made redundant from a previous job as an Operations Manager a few years ago they would have seen the word manager in the job title and tried to suggest I applied.

Or do they get advertised in Shoot magazine
