I have only ever pointed out that he does not mark his man when playing full back and that the opposition target him. Now the opposition target our central defenders. Which to be fair Darren Ferguson was the first to exploit that this season

Aye sure you have. Even though Hassell has only started one game at Centre Half!!!
Wiseman is the worst player I have seen for many years in a red shirt at marking his man, or even jumping for a header, yet you have constantly said he is a great fullback !

Nope Hemmsy put me straight on that , Alnwick was fantastic and every goal we conceded was when Steel was in goal.

I have said he is not as bad as many make him out to be

As for ur remark about hassell at centre half I don't think he even played in the Peterborough home game

I know he didnt, but you said that the opposition were targetting Hassell at fullback and now were targetting the central defenders, I didnt say it you did! Which is why I said he had only played 1 game there.

Bobby started that game in central midfield. It was Wiseman that was outjumped for the goals, like.

I have NEVER mentioned hassell at centre half once in this thread. The point I

was making was that they are exploiting the fact we have poor centre halfs and hill nothing to solve it. Furthermore teams no longer hit down there left

You weren't at Oakwell Saturday were you? They attacked down the left continually, and got two goals by doing so.

Tried it second half, but Stones had their winger covered.

Show me the individual stats ie Actim index.

I bet nether of them are in the top 40 defenders in the Championship.

Hassell would be my choice over McNulty and Wiseman at centre back but he's never been anywhere near the best in the Championship.

That is what's required some proper analysis.

I don't think anyone would realistically say that he is the best defender in the championship. But, we as fans, are intelligent enough to see that Hassell is a much better defender than Wiseman. The vast majority of people I speak to say Wiseman just is not up to the job, and I agree. Surely, we can't all be wrong? Yes, Wiseman has a bit of pace and Bobby isn't the quickest 'now that he is getting on a bit'. But lets be fair, he's never had pace anyway, and you don't miss what you never had. He is a just a much more intelligent player than Wiseman, in my opinion. He is an experienced, weathered championship defender, and that is ultimately what we need right now.

But there is more to it than that. Hassell, as we know, is a fans favourite, and rightly so. Fans are crying out for him to get a run in the side. When he does play, seemingly, we seem much more assured along the back four. But, it seems that Hassell is being treated deliberately strangely, and I think that is what is getting to everyone. Even players who are rightly out of favour seemingly get more opportunities than Bobby.

I've analysed what I've seen at the games....and the stats bear out exactly what my old fashioned MK1 eyeball has seen

See I thought this was a thread where the choice was Hassell or Wiseman, therefore we didnt have to go into which are the best 40 defenders in the league, just which one is the better of the 2, in fact it wasnt even about that, just which one plays in the most wins under Hill, then you tried to change the rules and still lost out, now you want to change them again till you find something to back up your fecking absolutely mental obsession of hating Hassell.

I disagree, I think they are so starkly contrasting- especially given that both vie for similar positions- as to be at least of note. you might ask how so many of the few wins came when Bobby was in the team whic is probably a more pertinent question

What a mean spirited post. Particularly as one could say exactly the same about any number of your statistical posts you've posted over the years.
