Just read your post on the Rochdale Fans Forum: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/rochdale/fb_mb.php?m=v&t=71115#71115

Credit where it's due mate, I couldn't have summed up Keith Hills tenure any better.

I don't think that I've ever felt as sad at a sacking as I did with Keith Hill. Just taking the recent ones (I don't want to go as far back as Clarke!) - I was delighted to see the back of Davey whose whole philosophy was to throw money at foreigners and hoped that half of them were up to the job.

Robins bored the sh*te out of me. If I hadn't had a season ticket that year I would not have carried on going to Oakwell as game after game was dour and turgid and it was simply a chore to watch the team.

At least with Hill we got someone who was honest (if not a little irritating on occasions) but who I actually believe did want to change things and who I genuinely think did care about what he was doing. I really, really wanted him to do well and I think most fans did; given that there were very few rumblings for his head after the worst home run I've ever seen - contrast that with the fans protesting about Simple Simon outside the ground.

His approach with Sir Bob has been odd to say the least as have some of his team selections. I said in the car on the way to the game that Scott Wiseman would cost Hill his job and given his 'performance' and two of the goals (to my mind) being his fault - he certainly did.

Anyway, I'm just rambling now. I fully expect us to get relegated this year. No team bottom of the pile at New Year has avoided relegation yet and I can't see that we'll be the exception to the rule. I do think that Keith could have done a better job if he'd taken the blinkers off but oddly I still bear no animosity to him for that relegation - just because I liked the guy and I 'bought into' what he was trying to do.

Keith - I have no idea what happened between you and Bobby but why the hell you couldn't have moved on from that and why you had a complete blind spot on the need for a big ugly centre half I'll never know.

"At least with Hill we got someone who was honest "

Keith Hill: June 11: "Barnsley have made it to the Premier League before. There is no reason why we can’t repeat what Danny Wilson’s side here did 14 years ago"

Keith Hill: August 11 after a bad start: "They seem to have a memory loss in terms of the success this club has had in recent history and think we should be higher than we are"

i'm pretty sure Keith did the same thing, although he tried it with lower league players. turned out great that did. can't remember going to Wembley with Keith either!
