You would hope that even if he thinks he's no chance of this job he would want to prove he can be a Nr 1 as he has been linked with other jobs in the past. He obviously considered his position as he thought about accepting the caretaker role overnight. Why accept it just for the chance to screw us over one or two more games and ruin his own reputation?
