.................I'll second that And if anyone disagrees with that then they are watching a different Bobby Hassell to the player that I'm watching .................and yet we get guys on here saying that we lost the game because Hassell didnt play...........how daft is that ???!!! We have 5 players that play in central defence...................none of them are good enough for the Championship in that position
not daft at all, defenders need more then pace and agility, being able to read the game correctly, knowing when to put a tackle in, being at the rite place at the rite time, not being afraid to get your head in the way, hassell does offer allot more (in my opinion) then most of the defenders in the barnsley squad
No-one has ever said Hassell is the answer to our problems but he's no worse than the rest of the clowns we have and he has more experience of these sort of relegation dogfights. Have you not seen Wiseman try to deal with a bouncing ball? McNulty's regular faux-pas? Is Bobby really any worse?
Aye it makes perfect sense, jim mcnulty is almost usain bolt-esque pace wise. Course. Pace helps but if you read the game as well as I read Swahili what's the point? I suppose we ignore the bit about leaving hassell at home with his family? Cobblers. And you know it.
Positional play, experience, heart, desire and giving 100% for the club are all attributes that Bobby has and that we could do with a little more of. Seeing as you're in a very small minority maybe, just maybe it's you that is wrong about him. The Anti Bobby squad: Hemsworth Tyke (c) Tyrone Nudger Hill Flicker Says it all.
Jimmy Sirrel said.................."if you can't run then you can't play" Our central defenders McNulty..........keep him on the books for next seasson to see if he can regain his confidence Hassell...........allow to leave Foster............allow to leave Wiseman.........keep him at full back. Not physically strong enough or tall enough for a central defender. Although could be useful against the smaller quick type of striker Cranie..........move to defensive midfield. Not physically strong enough or tall enough for a central defender.
Are you joining in the competition to see who talks the most ballox in a thread with markf , Drama Queen and Robert Goulet? Yes I know I am foooooookinnn Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddddd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heard it all many times before.
Positional play HE HAS NON when playing Full Back. Thats why the opposition continually float the ball behind him because they know he is lost
cant see how you'd want hassell and foster to leave but keep wiseman and mcnulty who are both sh!te,mcnulty were no good even when he supposedly had confidence.
you can dislike it all you wnat MArk but its the truth, Centre half or Midfielder he would get my side. Full Back NO WAY
You do realise that Hassell is one of the central defenders in Nudgers pposts dont you? Maybe you blind hatred allowed you to miss that bit and you just automatically dived in ?
Paul Futcher wasn't the fastest or the most agile but his reading of the ball was impeccable. It's about the ability to be in the right place at the right time.
McNulty - get shut. Worst centre half I can remember seeing in a Reds shirt. Shambolic Wiseman - get shut. Offers nothing, almost as bad as McNulty Foster - keep as a squad player. Could regain better form, playing alongside a stronger centre-half Hassell - keep. Positional play and footballing brain better than anyone in the squad. Barnsley legend, move into a coaching role
