Agree with that - and also Keep Stones unless we can get over £2 million for him

    My take

Bobby's never had massive amounts of pace/agility - it hasn't stopped him being the most consistent defender at the club. If he's been good enough (fast enough) in the last few seasons, then he's good enough today - especially given his opposition in the squad. This isn't Fifa13, where suddenly you wake up at the beginning of a new season having lost 2 yards of pace - the body doesn't work like that. Everything, whether its progression or regression, is much more gradual. Yes, I prefer Stones at RB atm but Bobby can still do a job more centrally. He's a good character to have out on the pitch, solid, cool-headed and a great defender imo.

Wiseman is like **** off a shovel but can't defend. Darren Moore was as slow as my nan (and she's dead) but knew how to put a challenge in. I know which i'd prefer in my defence.

Speed means nowt if you don't know how to play football.

I think I would prefer Darren Moore in defence on Saturday than Wiseman or McNumpty - also wasnt Bobby Moore famous for being pretty slow over a sprint

I agree with brewerystander - futcher was one of the best centre halfs I've ever seen - he was neither quick or agile . His experience was invaluable and helped the like of tiler and taggart no end

In my experience, that can happen. Often, players will rest over the summer (especially if they have been carrying injuries) and fitness levels will naturally drop. As you get older, it is much harder to get back to where you were previously.

I would like to think that players like Bobby Hassell are consummate professionals (unlike Mido for example) and would not allow their fitness levels to drop sooo low over a summer break - although rest is very important. Yes, injuries can take there toll but I am unaware of any injury that Bobby has sustained over the past few months that would cause a loss in his performance. Match sharpness/practice could be an issue with Bobby atm but that can only return with game time.

Bobby Moore didn't have pace but he could read a game.

Wiseman is not and never will be a consistent performer at Championship level. Hassell has performed better at CH than Wiseman.
