I've been sat working out a few things from our history whilst listening to the match, such as when we last beat/lost to each league team, when we last finished above/below each league team and so forth (actually, it'll be a few more hours till I finish, as I think I've overdone it a bit). When I've finished it will all be in a nice excel spreadsheet if anyone's interested enough to want to see it. Anyway, here's a question. Since we joined the football league, who are the only three existing league clubs who we have never finished above in the league pyramid? When someone gets the correct answer I'll set another question. Please have guesses though and don't check the internet or your history books (if you do it will take you a little while in any case!).
Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham Edit - having been reminded that it definitely isn't Arsenal, I'll go (not at all confidently) with Aston Villa.
eh - I think you will find we finished above Arsenal the year they got promoted to the first division ahead of us and arent we above Preston now. Everton are the only one I am sure of would guess Tottenham are another and even less confidently Liverpool for the third
Correct! Next question is which are the other four existing league clubs, besides these three, that we have never been at least a division above since we joined the football league?
Knew it was Everton and villa straight away wasn't sure of the other one other than it must have been a team who we were in the premiere league at time we were in.knew it were,t arsenal and man utd.don't know why I said Blackburn.
West Brom were in Championship when we were in Premier. I'll go, Man U, Spurs, Arsenal and Blackburn?
