Not from me,I was working so couldn't go, but my lad went with his mates.
Right I'll start this report off by saying to all the negative fans who moan about our squads ability we have squad with a lot of ability to still do well(stay up anyway) this season.
The first half was really the same old story from Barnsley plenty of possession but no really penetration , overall Peterborough had the better of the chances with Steel having to rush off his line twice , however certain players do seem to have the mindset off backing off an on rushing attacker, this was evident once or twice today with Steel being forced into making good saves. Pboro goal for me shouldn't have happened, seen from where I was stood Dawson never touched him for the free kick. Craig Davies however did force the pboro keeper into a brilliant point blank range save but apart from that Barnsley had few opportunities in the first half.

The second half was a complete turn around from the reds. Pure domination with O'brien and Golbourne ripping the pboro fullbacks to shreds. Basically playing as wing men getting to the bye line and putting the ball in , if we keep doing this goals will come. Dawson and Perkins put there regular graft in to outclass the pboro midfielders. Chris Dagnall was for me Barnsleys stand out player, hitting the post and going through the pboro defence only to have his effort saved , but his overall play awesome. Craig Davies was incredibly poor , no presence and really no threat however it didn't help when he was subbed for Marlon Harewood who dragged a shot in the pboro box a good ten foot wide.
Barnsley goal was deserved, however it did look offside from where I was , but it was given so it was soul destroying to see pboro score with there only really attack of the second half, so lessons still need learning. Cranie and Stones were amazing all afternoon, however one player who impressed was Tom Kennedy at left back played incredibly well and deserves to start next game. All in all don't worry reds fans the performance day was impressive and playing like that we will win more games. However Harewood needs to be moved on,and a better striker fetched in asap.

Its worrying you think Harewood needs moving on as he was far better in 20 minutes than davies has been in 220! mind you you didnt go so didnt get to see what i saw,no offence. Now Davies needs showing the door first before any other striker we have imho after the last 3 matches.

Liked that until the bit about Harewood who I think still has a lot to offer.

Yep, would have played Harewood in front of Davies today. The report sounds all too familiar, a poor first half and a dominant second. Not good enough - the first goal is absolutely crucial and we keep going behind in virtually every game. Strong second half showings mean nothing, we've got to assert ourselves on the game and get that first goal, making teams come at us and then pick them off on the break. That's what they seem to be doing to us week in week out...

He forgot to put... from where they were stood they all thought it was Perkins goal, they seemed to think Harewoods shot was missing till it hit Perkins

Sounds daft but when I watch our attackers I wonder why they don't play like me in my brief Sunday league days and as I do at five-a-side now...

I've never been very good at football in general but what I did notice is if that you run at a defender positively and confidently he is more likely to back off or come in with a predictable challenge that you can either avoid or at least get the ball away so you are fouled. I realise pro football is a bit faster but with Hill, and today Flicker, we carried on with this Harlem Globetrotter style of trying to walk the ball into the net. It hasn't worked for Arsenal so it isn't going to work for us.

Just hoof it up there and see what happens, got to be a lot more effective than the rubbish we are playing now.

Stopped reading after your first sentence. A squad with a lot of ability is not at the foot of the league table after 20-odd games having only won 9 games in a full year, unless it has been so badly managed that the little credit Hill got was still far too much.
