Why do some people on here want Gary Megson in at Oakwell...

I don't remember him being successful anywhere as a manager in the last few years (or since West Brom)...
I remember Wednesday fans hating the boring/negative football that he played there, and poor results...

I definitely do not want Megson in at Oakwell, but just wondered why some people seem to???? I must be missing/forgetting something???

I don't think he's necessarily anyone’s number one choice but I think people are starting to believe he is our best chance of survival.

I may be being a little thick/forgetful here, but what experience or success has Megson got of that??

Go and ask the Wednesday fans, and the WBA fans if they thought he was a long ball merchant.

    Two promotions to the Prem.

Went to Bolton as a hate figure, then kept them up twice, reached UEFA Cup last 16.

Signed some quality laikers over the years too.

Danny Wilson was covered in Sheff Wendy was he not? Means nowt.

Or we could keep on appointing these so-called 'up and coming' lower league managers, eh?

I used to work with a lass who has her UEFA B license, and she is a Wednesday season ticket holder...

She said the football was awful, clueless n a mess...

Nothing against Megson personally... Just not got a good feeling about him being the next reds gaffer!!

But then again, not sure who i would prefer?!?!

He'd be least worst for me. O'Driscoll ideal, Megson second choice.

Complete opposite to Keef and we'd still get to see O'Grady up top.

Think i would prefer O'Driscoll too, a his passing style would suit the current squad...

But then is that too samey as Keef??

What do you reckon to Darren Moore in some capacity mate?

That's my worry Judd. Very similar. And, he had Billy Sharp. We've got Chris Dagnall. Who I adore, but can't score.

I think it'd be purely to appease some fans because of his links to us. Not against it but don't want him as manager. At the end of the day it needs to be someone who's decent at the job - I couldn't give a **** if they played for us or not.

Yep Judd, that's how all my Wednesday mates saw it. Not for me. Plus has anyone considered we don't have the players for long ball football?

True... Daggers is a extremely hard working player... But doesnt score!!

But id run around as much as Daggers if someone stuck a reds shirt on my back!!

My point being, is he good enough as a forward?? As a support forward definitely yes... But he's not going to score a lot!!

Worth a squad place though on his work rate alone though... He is a very unlucky player two, hits the post or the keeper far too often!! But is that a lack of ability again??

    Megson out!!!! Hahaha

Megson is the first man I'd choose out of those available to keep us up. However, he's the last choice for the "five year plan" - we'd be down to 3000 fans after one season.
