A few thoughts of mine, on 352, Flitcroft, Bobby, Leeds..

I've always wanted us to give 352 a chance, but never thought it likely under Keith. We do have players that I feel would better suit that formation.
And yes, Sidekick did use that formation yesterday. But he probably won't again. Listen to his interview - he says he played 352 to match the opposition up. And that is another reason I want shut of him. He, like Hill, spends too much time worrying about the opposition, and what they can/may do. I want a manager who looks at our squad, and selects a team and formation to worry the other team. I don't believe Sidekick is that man. If he is still in charge at the weekend, plays 352 again, recalls Foster and Hassell, drops Davies, then I'll take notice. But he won't.
I won't bad mouth him, as I don't feel this is the place. But I do know enough about him and his treatment (along with Keith) of certain players and that does distort my opinion of him.
If he remains on the coaching staff, I wouldn't be averse to that, as a coach. Maybe cutting the apron strings from his pal is what he needs?

I will also refrain from going into detail with regards to Bobby and the furore around him right now. Tbh, there's no real need for me to say much. It's all coming out anyway, it's just whether you choose to ignore/believe it.
What I will say, is that he's still - IMO - one of our better players, certainly good enough to start in this side, be it in 1 of 3 positions. Perhaps that says more about how bad our squad is than how good Bob is as a player these days. Although I do happen to believe he's a good player. I believe we have a lot of good players. It's picking the best combination of them, in the right formation, and the right tactical approach that's the issue.

I went to Bellend Road yesterday to watch Bolton against Leeds. Some will know why, but again, not a place I'm going to discuss that, it's my private life, this is a public forum.
But that was the worst game of football I've seen this season, with 2 absolute shocking displays from 'so-called' big clubs of the division. Bolton were the better of the 2 abominations, and watching Zat Knight served only to remind me just how vital a quality commanding centre half is. He was immense, against 1 of Leeds' few good laikers on the day, Becchio.
The standout performer though was easily El-Hadji Diouf. Like him or loathe him, he now looks the player he was at Bolton all those years ago. The ovation he was afforded from both sets of supporters summed it up. A class act at this level.
I'm only relaying this as they (Leeds) are our next opponents in the league. And I saw nothing from them to suggest we shouldn't turn them over. They certainly didn't look a side that I'd be setting my team up to match, to nullify. They're a team to attack, to take on. Let's hope we had a scout there watching that saw the game as I did.

Bolton were unable to string passes together until Butterfield came on with 10 minutes to go. And I say this without bias, he was their best player in that cameo. Drifting past players like they weren't there, pinging balls accurately left and right, and hitting one 30 yarder that nearly took Paul Green's head off his shoulders. Methinks Mr Freedman will regret under-using him during this loan spell. Which is now at an end. Just a shame we can't get him back here, as he's exactly the creative talent we once had, and now miss..

In other news, I'm back to work tonight.

I can't choose to ignore or believe anything because no one can explain to me what has happened other than casting vague insinuations. And if people can't say what they know they really shouldn't be implying they know something, it all amounts to the same thing.

You've lost me on that, pal. It's not hard, I'm a bit slow at times.
