A mate of mine got a phone call on new years eve afternoon, off of a friend of his who said we were after Paul Ince.
I'd be happy with Paul Ince. Though personally, I think he'd need his head looking at if he was to take on this job!
I'm not convinced he'd be a good appointment. Very little experience any higher than league one and his first venture higher up the leagues ended in relative failure.
Bloke at work work, a Norwich fan just said to me "Your getting Paul once as manager" said he had heard it on radio
There was definately noone with our club directors. The was Rowing and Taylor - Sharon and her hubby (shes club secretary or something) and Patrick Crynes wife and two younger uns. Guessing Crynes grandchildren maybe..... John Dennis was also in directors box but didnt seem to be sat with our directors...... No prospective managers though.
JD was probably with the Posh Diorectors. Thats what you get when you actually talk to opposing officials and directorsd instead of blanking them.....
I would be happy with Ince. Looking at his win ratio it is 43% good and that included a short/tough spell with Blackburn. He'd get us battling from word "go" and probably have some contacts for loan market. Not my no. 1 choice (which remains Billy Davies) but I'd take the Guvnor.
