Looking back it was a mistake not selling him. But at the time, we had no wingers fit, it was the end of the transfer window, he was starting and then he went and got injured straight after. Sods law.

He was the one last season that many on here were saying did well when played. He, like McNulty, got injured at the wrong time and have never got any sort of form this year.

 

Always liked Davies, but if he continues to play like he has been doing recently we won't miss him. Maybe it's just a loss of form, but it could be that he no longer wants to be here, in which case it's best for all parties that he goes. There's going to be some gnashing of teeth though if the transfer fee is disclosed.

Can't half smash them in and at times his strength can really worry a defense. Also like it when he allows the ball to roll beneath him and can instantly turn the defender because they're not expecting it. More often than not though this doesn't work and he's left looking like a numpty. Shame he's going but his performances recently have been shocking - hopefully we can do better but for 500K I'm not too sure. Will never forget his 4 goals against Birmingham - Good times.

Whoever signs him - play him down the middle and have widemen and midfielders who can pass supplying him and you're sorted.

Didn't think much to him last season. Saw a different Davies at the beginning of this season and thought he'd improved is all round game but then the last few games he's gone back 12 months. His hearts not in it anymore.
