You didn't mention the turnover. Down from £11m to £8.6m, over the same period. That's the more worrying statistic for me. Especially when we're trying to sell the Club. And people wonder why we're forced to accept the first cash offer we receive for players.

I knew before reading it what the turnover would be, shocking.

I only highlighted the wage bill due to some folk saying he had used x amount of players and therefore he had blown loads of money, pity they were all on peanuts.

The turnover figure is a truly frightening statistic and really brings home the failings of those running the club.

When we get relegated this season and turnover drops dramatically again, then we truly will be ******. Keep up the good work Don and Barry...

Makes you realise just what an achievement actually staying in the Championship in this day and age actually is, and the significance to a club as small as ours.

How does it? And we were averaging 13,500 fans 3 years back. That's competitive in this league and gates have only declined due to the poor management of the club and failure to build.

So the £28 is working then Don seen as though the ST sales were only a few hundred behind the season before so not much loss in income there, the club shops loaned out, as is the catering.

Loss of support from the club's beneficial owner. That has been the difference.

EDIT: Plus, obviously a dramatic loss in turnover. Club is ****ed and is sleepwalking into oblivion with a change in ownership. There is just so much wrong it is untrue.

2 million for Harewood and o'connor seems a lot mate. It was always said that those were the only two that Cryne had supported.

How does it? Purely because if we were to get relegated, we'd be even more so up the proverbial creek. A Barnsley football club in the Championship still holds on loosely to the crumbling fanbase. A Barnsley football club in League One looses that grip almost entirely. The people of Barnsley don't/won't pay £28 to watch us against the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield, Leiciester et al, so they're sure as hell not going to pay to watch us play against Brentford and S****horpe. I can't get involved in an argument regarding the management and failure to build as I purely don't know enough of the facts.

Apologies, I misunderstood your post. I agree with the points you're making.

As for the knowing enough of the facts, it's more than enough for me to see that declining attendances and vastly reduced turnover suggests that the management of the club have failed to build.

So the club has been run at a profit again? Compared to our peers like Bolton who recently reporting losses of £22.1 million?

It won't be £28 in League 1, probably £20 which is what the stayaway's would pay.

£800k for Butterfield so far and aren't we due more based on appearances or if he scores the winning goal for England in a World Cup final?

I bet they don't. We'll have less than 7k in League One.

Almost a million of that drop came from a loss of TV Revenue with the new Sky deal.

    £2 million from dropping attendances?

A third of the wage bill of Bristol City then. Hill must have been a miracle worker compared to McInnes. Context.

Turnover at Ashton Gate £11.8m. Wage bill £18.6m. Loss of £14.4m. No level playing field.
