I have been reading all the threads on here the last week. I think some of them are good and constructive but some just knock people for the sake of it. I appreciate other people's opinion if it helps. Now Flicker came over as a good sort of guy. He has brought two of his mates who he respects to give a different view. This to me is a guy who the players fully respect and they play for him. Who is to say that bringing in another guy would be better. Imagine Blackwell, Megson, Redfearn, coming in, do you honestly think they could do better. The players could just get deflated altogether, then were really are in it. I do not accept the Keith Hill card, he was the boss. Flicker could be loads better, and he was a top class player in the premiership, Hill was not as good. So my vote is for Flicker and his two mates to carry us through with a bit of fine tuning. We are not that far from moving up. Judge after Burnley
His brother laiked in the Prem. I agree, but there's too many voiced dissatisfaction. He won't get it.
He is half of the problem, not the whole answer. Everyone is entitled to their opinion as you say mate. My opinion is i would not go if he was appointed.
I said earlier in the week that the players gave their all against Posh, they were very obviously highly motivated by Flicker, and were very unlucky to come away with nothing. They deserved all 3 points on their 2nd half showing. I hope and expect more of the same tomorrow, and only wish I could be there.
It wouldn't keep me away just because Flitcroft was given the job. But I don't believe he is the man for the us. One game in charge isn't a good basis for giving him the job. We were beaten by another side fighting relegation again. I am not a big fan of Hassell but he is marginally better than the players who have been keeping him out and he should be in that squad, bearing in mind just how poor that defence is.
Admits to being guilty by association.... "We come as a purr...." Says he has not applied for the job, does not mean he is not being considered though.
I have got to admit I really liked what he had to say and given a couple of results people could change their minds.
