Played really well when he came on. Sharp in the box after Jensen made a howler and tucked it away nicely. He also won a fair few headers against taller defenders. He was made up after scoring his first goal and it was nice to see him, Stones and RNL in a huddle celebrating at the end. It was also nice to see Dawson sticking up for him when Shackell(?) went for him after a very innocuous challenge. Dawson looked to be having a right go at Shackell. It might be worth giving him a few more sub appearances in the league.
Pleased for young Danny. Haven't been to game, but like what you say about Dawson............he's playing with real heart at BFC and that's exactly what we need. Players like this always become REDS heroes due to their never-say-die attitude.
According to Matthew Murray Shackell had him in tears for something....anyhow, he had the last laugh.
Shackell was pretty nasty all game. He had a go at Dagnall in the first half and then synically fouled him soon afterwards as well.
I knew that! I wondered what was keeping Hemsworth, he'll get some right mileage out of that picture!!
