Does anyone know what happened? Murray says he was in tears after the match and Flitcroft says: 'he shouldnt be picking on a kid'
It was right in front of me. Rose was holding the ball in the corner near the end, when Shackell fouled him. Fair enough, a fouls a foul. But Rose turned round to sort of slap hands and Shackell shoved him away. Rose then tried to apologise. The ref called both players over then, so Shackell went up to Rose and put his arm round him, but then aggressively pulled him towards him and shouted a load of ***** down his ear all whilst holding him really tightly and not letting Rose pull away. Then Dawson turned up it got tasty.
******** if he scores and plays well and knows where to be in box at right time. He will make it at this level. He can cry all he wants
i didnt say he wont make it but needs to toughen up if opponenets read this as its all over twitter then thell just hound him. well done dawson though sticking up for his teamate.
Load of crap. Shackell must have said something personal to the guy, he knows him from his time at Barnsley. Emotions must have been all over the place after scoring his first senior goal at his home town club.
He wasn't crying when he was celebrating in front of the Dimensions stand. Unless Shackell got to him in the tunnel I don't believe he was crying because of something he said. I think Dawsons really taken the younger players under his wing. He was constantly talking to Stones when he first made his breakthrough and gave Rose a friendly punch after he'd scored. He's the sort of player that's not going to take any opposition player giving him or any of his teammates any grief. Quickly becoming my favourite player.
It's all part of growing up, he'll be reight. I'd rather have the respect of Keiron Trippier than Jason Shackell any day. Nobody liked him at Oakwell, nobody liked him at Derby and I can't see it being any different at Burnley. The man's a mercenary and a bully. He reminds me of a copper who's gone wrong not long after he joined. Well rid.
hope Dawson just said to shackell look at the score you **** end. the way it reads is that the incident with shackell made him cry. im thinking its more of the emotion of scoring a winner, your first senior goal,in the fa cup. hope so anyway. if not it could damage him confidence wise.
Dawson had another word as they went down the tunnel, seemed like handbags as they went off (on the TV monitors that were on )
