He made Derby a good team. Went to Notts and made them a good team. This despite Notts having ****ers working against him, who were not helping him get players he wanted. He would not get resources here, but ask him to help for season or if he is interested set him on straight away. Good dressing room man.

He is the man we need..I don't know the club's finances but if he we had any chance of getting him even just until the end of the season then get it done! surely the greatest Championship Manager out of work at the moment!
I really wanted Davies before the whole SOD talk (who I would have been more than happy with) but I dont think he'd come here. Not enough money, bottom of league, smal attendances etc etc etc. He's the kind of manage we need though!
Billy Davies will not be interested in managing Barnsley. It is a simple as that. He has stated on numerous occasions that he will not except a job without significant financial backing therefore logically he will not be interested in the position. To tag your phrase - it is a no brainer - it isn't going to happen.
His record in the Championship probably has a lot to do with the amount of money he's had to spend too.
