That house on Belgrave Rd is full of squatters, last l heard Alex Neil, Kim Christensen, Kevin Dixon, Phil Gridelet & Mido were occupying it.
The fact BFC have been given permission, suggests he is interested. Otherwise he would have re-buffed the approach, such is the order of play. The old West Stand dressing room would scrub up into a comfortable, if modest bedsit. En suite too!
Re: I'll talk to Terry myself I'm not 'trying' to say anything. I AM saying it'd be better for me to chat with Mr Butcher rather than going through a third party. You're a little tinker!
Re: All it means If the manager is not interested though, it doesn't even go that far. It's a process.
Re: I'll talk to Terry myself Don is a very skilled negotiator! He is the Heinz Muller of the water-tight deal.
Re: All it means Do you make a leap of faith in all matters? They may be contractually obliged to allow us to talk with him. So, until we hear otherwise, we've simply been given permission to talk to him.
Re: All it means A leap of faith, rather than a backwards step of cynical ambivalence? I'm just a casual observer! My previous post holds, that is the accepted protocol. I don't really have a favourite, I'll get behind whoever gets the job. Except Kevin Blackwell, I don't like him much.
Re: All it means You'd start an argument in a telephone box! I agree about getting behind the new manager, again with the exception of Blackwell. I don't like him, he's not very nice.
Re: All it means I'm not arguing. Just occurred to me though, this could mean a hefty compensation package given Cally's position?
Perhaps There's a set figure in the contract ala Craig Davies and we've met it? Pure conjecture on my part.
Re: Perhaps Possibly, beyond my knowings that. But I suppose it would be prudent to know these things in advance. In last week's interview Don did state, there would be funds to cover compensation for the right candidate if required. Cally might argue that a lucrative European campaign will be jeopardised should TB leave. Then again, a set figure might be a relative windfall that will help them secure that 2nd place. Who knows? we are not likely to be made privy to such goings on!
i think 3rd on the list will be megson if butcher turns us down,he was my first choice better record than any of the other candidates.
Spot on. It's just the kind of inspirational move we need right now. He has the CV (as a player in particular) and the contacts. And it's a long time since we had a manager that we could say this about.
