If pushed I'd say everything points to a 'no' from Butcher.

Second day of talks? Really?? 'Kin 'ell Don, if you can't sell the club at the first meeting you're not gonna do it at a second. That and Flitcroft already being put in charge for Saturday suggests to me Butcher's staying put. All just opinion, obv.

I have a feeling that he will come to us but it's taking time because of what he is leaving behind up in the Highlands. It's taking a really big sell by Don but the fact he hasn't said no yet must be seen as a positive. There must be something about the job and what Don is saying that have kept talks going into day two.

You appear to have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Although on second glance it may actually be a banana.

You misunderstand, redarmy, I'm not criticizing Flitcroft. Must be an awful situation for him - not knowing whether to walk away, being expected to manage the team when the club are actively looking to find someone they regard as "better". All credit to him for just getting on with it. I was just expressing my opinion about Butcher's possible decision. I could be right, I could be wrong....don't give a flying one either way, tbh.

I think it should be made statute: everything in the world ever, is Don Rowing's fault.

    SORRY.
think butcher needs time to mull things over as per uprooting his family
dont think it isnt the don not selling the club to him more him just wanting some time to make sure its the right time to return back to england.

To be honest flitcroft has no choice unless he walks away from the club and loses money. He's not doing anyone a favour hes doing his job and getting paid for it. A favour is Kennedy signing a 3 day contact to play for us last week. when he could have got injured and been without pay for rest of season

I'd say the opposite. From the way things have moved in the last 48 hours I suspect butcher is one of the 30 or so who applied and is very close to signing up.

It's just a case of ironing out the finer points.

Mrs crynes knocking him up a couple of crumpets for his supper with some oveltine.

I heard that Kennedy agreed to play on a non contract basis until the new man comes in, not a 3 day contract.then its upto new man if he wants him to stay or not

Its 400 miles each way to Inverness. Even with the best made transport plans (and I don't think we get regular flights from Inverness to Cundy Cross International Airport) it takes some time to travel that distance. Add in a guided tour of the ground, meetings, food, etc - it would not be surprising that somebody wanted to sleep on a major life-changing decision.
