Do you reckon he'll have a clause in his contract and that's the only way he would have signed for them?

My first thoughts too.

 

I thought there was competition from Reading at the time too? or at least they showed interest. They ended up signing Adam Le Fondre instead, and the rest is history as they say.

 

On a serious note, cheers Craig owd lad. Scored some screamers and I don't think I've ever been happier than when you smacked that winner in at Peterborough.

Although it makes me nearly come to tears when I think of that team that game compared to now.

 

At Bolton for the next 18 months or so before he starts thinking of running down his contract and joins yet another club.

Can't blame the lad. Just a shame his head dropped a bit once his agent got more proactive.

Best striker we've had for some time. I for one think he'll be a loss, on his day he's a handful and has a wicked shot.

 

The board left it too late to offer him a new deal, let's hope it isn't the same with Steele

On Craig, I'd like to wish him all the best and thank him for some great memories. A bit like King Keith really. Some cracking - albeit few - moments, over-shadowed with/by ineptitude.

 

Said from the the first few games Davies played, someone should have spent a hour a day after training hitting balls for him to control. Do Bolton play with wingers? would make a difference to his goal tally.

 

Best centre forward since Shipps for much of his career here. Good signing by Keith. Real pity he chalked **** on us and played like a school girl for the last month or so. I thought he had more integrity than that.

 

Are you channelling (if you'll pardon the pun) for Clare Balding, now she's "gone over to the other side"? (Oh God, I can't stop). Or is it just that you BBC types are all the same?

That sums up my opinion on the lad, too.
