May I take this opportunity to thank Keith Hill and Flicker for all their hardwork they put in at Oakwell under very trying circumstances. His football he got us playing was the best seen for many years, his recruitment of players from the lower leagues into saleable assets will continue to keep us in the black along with the nurturing and development of the academy lads. His identity that he was trying to create was refreshing and welcome along with his charisma and attitude.

Sadly it was lost on the general folk of Barnsley who will never buy into the 'Mourinho style' arrogance and self belief.

We had a management team that hadn't lost the dressing room, that had the players running through walls for them, with the transfer window around the corner we pulled the trigger, now look at us.

Be careful what you wish for is what I say, be careful what you wish for.

my personal opinion is you're wrong, and you're trading on the current position we're in. the current position being at the bottom of the Championship and bound for League 1, following the worst managerial statistics for decades. we're in this boat BECAUSE of keith hill's ineptitude

    just my opinion..

The football was *****, we are bottom of the league, and i didn't see Wolves or Donny clamouring for Hill's appointment

best football seen for many years ..... the majority in his first 4 months in charge and very little since

Sadly it was lost on the general folk of Barnsley who will never buy into the 'Mourinho style' arrogance and self belief....or a ignorant fool who was too stubborn to accept he got it wrong and blamed everyone else instead

We had a management team that hadn't lost the dressing room, that had the players running through walls for them....or had players banging there heads against a brick wall wondering why he had bothered signing em in the first place

Be careful what you wish for is what I say, be careful what you wish for......i wish for a lot of things, none of it is football related

I love way you call him a w@nker and names you call Fitcroft and Wiseman. What have they done to hurt you? They came here and have tried their very best. Do you generally call people that in life who have never done owt to you? You must be real big men.

It's not just me who shares the Hill opinion, I know plenty more who do. They take one look of ***** on this board and give it a wide berth, shame I can't

P.s No ale sadly, don't drink in week. I will be there next season with season ticket, losing track now, is it 18 or 19 years in a row I've had same seat? I put my money where my mouth is always.

You should change your name from Keith Hill's Jacket to Flak Jacket with a post like this.

Have you not considered that one of the fundamental reasons why we have had 2 managers turn us down, is the current position we are in.

That is we are rock bottom of league and 4 points adrift from safety with players that have been playing tippy-tappy posession football in our own half and have lost any self-belief they previously had.

As regards Mourinho style arrogance......if you are going to "talk the talk then you have to walk the walk".

All Keith Hill did is the talking part......and too much of it.

The main thrust of this thread has some commonsense about it and KHJ shouldn't be hammered for stating a point of view or ridiculed as an idiot for giving that opinion. In some respects Keith Hill was a victim of the short-term clamour for a new face when things aren't going well. We have had 10 managers in 12 years now (absolutely terrible!!) and it is about time that we stuck with a guy for more than 18 months so that something can be built!! If we are going down then we will go down with a new guy now but if we are not doing great in 8 months time do we sack another one? Do we have to start rebuilding all over again?

You don't keep a ***** manager because someone is counting how many have been replaced.

You don't keep a rubbish manager in the long-term but Hill had about 16 months in which he was given the task of completely restructuring the club on a reduced budget. A board with vision would have given him more time and not pandered to the clamour for another head.

    Ryhill - great post.

We're bottom of league, playing poor football and manager is talking sh!te and alienating fan base..............but wait a minute, let's keep him because our record of sacking managers is very poor and we need to improve on this statistic.

I mean come on FFS get real.......only statistic that is important this season is staying up?
