Don't understand it either. He was assistant under Hodgson at WBA, presumably thought of well and landed the Portsmouth job. He presided over an inevitable relegation, but because of the situation they were in, this job was therefore seen as remarkable and brilliant. He then led Pompey to the lower reaches of League One, which is understandable, but then again they did have decent quality players on those month to motnh deals. Blackpool must have bought the media's adulation of him and gave him a very attractive looking job. He's since continued their inability to be consistent and now Blackburn get him. Weird. To me his only achievement is handling the Portsmouth job with dignity. But anyone could have gone there, lost most games but still acted with dignity and got praise for it.
Don't get it either mate, he got crocked on the training ground which cut his career short...got a 1.5 million quid pay out, so not only has he got a poor win ratio he's had more clubs than Tiger Woods AND he's minted so walking off a job won't be an issue. Despite the mess were in I wouldn't have him!
Hmmmmmm sounds familiar, losing most games.........but with....dignity you say?? Did our Keef do that?
