    If the rumour about Branson getting the job is true?

    Personally I think it's very inept of the board and a cheap option.

    I think a lot of the supporters would just get behind him...it's dragged on for way too long now and whoever we get I think most of the supporters will support them. Unless it's Blackwell or Megson ofcourse!

    I'd get behind whoever gets the job, Tyrone. (Well, maybe not Blackwell or god forbid, Carlton Palmer)

    The whole saga has been ridiculous, though. Still think the board are inept.

    The board always think they are going for a cheap option but it's not so cheap when the inexperienced cheap option they appoint ends up failing and needing to be paid off every 12-18 months like with Davey, Bobins and Keef.

    I don't think there'll be a backlash against Branson

    The fans who have stopped attending games are highly unlikely to return, though. Some of those currently going down may well decide to pack it in, too. The same will apply if David Flitcroft is appointed, in my opinion. Neither man is likely to inspire the fan base to rally to the cause.

    It's nothing to do with it being a cheap option. Butcher was going to be on a massive whack, so I'm not sure what the point of saying that is.

    The irony at the minute is that a new found togetherness and spirit seems to be the consequence of the failed farce of the recruitment policy . Keep on with the mantra......in adversity we can find strength - as others have said on here....NOW is the time for us to be the twelfth man.
