He's half of the worst managerial partnership that we've had at oakwell.

A guy who backed his gaffer while he slagged the fans off at every opportunity.

A guy 50% responsible for bringing an endless parade of **** players.

It's one result. Think on cos you might just get what you wish for.

Wilson was half of a bad management team when he first arrived.

And yeah I've got a short memory - two wins in 8 days. When did that happen under KH?

Did he 'back his gaffer' or just keep quiet, thinking that's what a No.2 should do and just get on with his job of coaching?
Was he responsible for bringing in players? Could he have overridden KH's decisions if he'd wanted?

I was just going to post the same... doesn't mean he'll be good, it's just that he's not to be judges entirely on his time with Hill

If you perhaps went to the games you may have noticed that for the past few weeks there has only been one man in the dugout urging the team on and shouting his head off, and have you noticed how the players are now playing as a team, or are you just spouting sh*t? ??????

It's not just one result though. It's 3 good performances, 2 wins and 2 clean sheets. Unless you have another O'Driscoll or Butcher in mind that's just going to turn us down, what else do you want. Flicker is now our best chance of staying up this season and we need to accept that and get behind him!

to be fair to properbo, he does have a point. let's not forget the reaction to keith hill as manager, after the birmingham rout. he was the answer to all our problems. up to today, i was vehemently against flicker getting the job. so i'm not gonna have a pop at those who remain cynical. but i've seen enough today, to believe he's his own man, who's been brave enough to ditch the flawed methods that keith hill used.

    A parade of **** players?
They signed Kennedy, mcnulty, Golbourne, cranie, Perkins, Dawson, dagnall and harewood in today's starting 11 and in most people's opinion they were excellent. I would never argue mistakes weren't made but In what he has done so far Flitcroft has signalled a definite change from Hill's thinking.

You need to seperate Keith Hill and Dave Flitcroft.

When did you ever hear Flicker slagging off the club or the supporters? Flitcroft always sounds positive and upbeat - no "shopping at Aldi" stuff.

Dave Flitcroft is a genuinely nice bloke, unlike Keith Hill whom I met and found totally arrogant (and I don't really like coming out and criticising him like that).

If people have a genuinely good managerial candidate to put forward other than Flicker, then let's hear it, because people are being destructive rather than constructive. Come on, I would have liked Nick Barmby but I don't see that as a realistic option.

    Yep **** players.

Dagnall mellis wiseman mido mcnulty harewood etuhu. Shall I carry on?

Don't get me wrong I like dagnall, can't knock his work ethic but it's 2 goals in 1 match. He'll never be a championship player.

With regards to who's manager I don't know but I'm not running a football club.

What I do know is that on the back of today's result the support has soared for flitcroft. At the end of the day he's served his apprenticeship under hill. In their words they were best of mates sharing the same footballing philosophy. Why do we suddenly think everything is going to change?

to the extent that Danny had virtually taken over first team affairs towards the end of 93/94. It didn't quite work for Viv.
