is you have to remember that perhaps he didn't always agree with Keith Hill. Hill, ultimately would have the final say. Flitcroft immediately dropped Wiseman, something that the fans were crying out for. He's mixed things up, he's got them playing for the club and the badge, and most crucially, he's been loyal when he didn't have to be. The man deserves some credit. He speaks honestly and like a man, something that couldn't always be said of Keith. With the right man at the side of him, I think we could have the man we so very much need at the moment in time. Lets be fair, he's already got moods lifted, he's got people believing, he's got people together.

Unfortunately, come tomorrow, I think we will see him no more. And it will be a shame, because say what you want about Keith, whilst Flticroft has been in charge, he has given absolutely everything he has. My instincts tell me that Ronnie Branson or Darren Moore will be announced tomorrow.

Strangely, does anyone else think that Craig Hignett's twitter has gone a bit strange? Doesn't seem to want to say much recently..

I think you're right Pinball. Given the debacle of Hill's departure and the farcical recruitment process, I feel there's just one last twist in this saga. Just when the fans finally feel some hope, with the right man staring us all in the face....we'll let him go and completely disillusion the fans...again.

I didn't want Flicker but surely even Rowing can't mess this up.

What's thos Ronniw Branson *****? He's a ******* ex school teacher. If Branson is announced manager tomorrow ill eat my own **** and balls with a side of anus.

I've been totally anti Flitcroft to date, but based on today's evidence I'd struggle to object to him getting the job.

It was different to Hill, which I didnyt expect.

Well done Flicker and Mellon heed.

To be fair, The Don's between hell & high water now. 24hrs ago, Flicker's support was in the minority. Had things gone to plan he would have already left the Club, and most people would have been saying 'good riddance to Hill's right hand man'. But wind forward 24 hours, and we've all just seen a very different proposition. There's been a huge swing shift of opinion.

I fear today's result is academic, and the decision may have already been made. Which makes it all the more painful. I personally think it would now be a big blow to both the fans and the squad, if Flicker left the Club tomorrow.

    We'll soon see..

Perhaps they have been waiting for today's result? But I too think that the decision was already made.

I am not so sure - The Don had a big grin on his face when the final whistle went and his interview this afternoon indicated that they would be making an announcement tomorrow which made me wonder if they had 2 plans depending on what happened today. I think if they had decided to give it to Branson Moore He would have been looking much more worried
    but what do I know

All I know is thats the best performance at home in over a year - It was a great game to watch - the passion was back Flitcroft clearly has the players and I must admit I changed my mind today - not so much for the result but the performance - thats haow I want to see us play, Better than anything atr home in the whole of 2012

All that hope & optimism snatched away tomorrow, as Flicker waves bye bye and Ronnie Branson moves his stuff into the Manager's office...

What makes it all the more remarkable to me is, he could have just said "forget it". But yet, he's stuck in there (with, as he said, days without contact from the board!) and got the lads to come out with that attitude and performance. For me, it says tonnes about the man

He did have support before today though, he was second most popular behind Higgy on our poll. Today has made the decision all the more easy.

Lots of the top managers in the world are ex-school teachers, including Ralf Rangnick, Roy Hodgson, Oscar Tabarez, Ottmar Hitzfield, and Jose Mourinho. I doubt for a minute that Branson will ever be as successful as any of them, but just being an ex-teacher does not mean that they will not make a great manager!
