    Mickey Melon has told of his delight after being appointed Barnsley's new Assistant Manager. Melon, 40, said "I am delighted. There were a few sour grapes when I left Fleetwood, but this is a big club, there is no comparison, it's like comparing apples and oranges. We are planning some exciting times here and hope we have the right cocktail for success. Yes, there will be a few banana skins along the way, but we are confident we can beat the drop. There are a few teams in the mixer and we have to find the right blend to get above them.

    Of course, we are still in the FA Cup and if we can beat Orient or Hull we have every chance of landing a plum tie in the 5th round.

    i will give everything for this club, I was so excited when Flicker called me on my Blackberry, And offered me the job. Don Rowing also called me to offer his congratulations and told me about the new sponsorship deals planned with Fruit of the Loom, RaspberryPi and the Cranberry pub on Dodeth Rooard."
