Summat that's easy and free that most clubs already do regarding social networking. Take pictures of the crowd in each stand each home match and title them something like "We're stronger together, we're Barnsley FC" and get people to tag themselves. It's only a little thing, but all the little things add up to make a big difference to gain support for the club.
New scoreboard Better food n drink and an affordable pricing structure A more transparent matchday ticketing structure A better run PR system from the club Get the kids involved and interested with BFC on matchdays Better halftime entertainment Try and get the local press onside (Chron seems very anti BFC at the moment) Some info from the club regarding any news of a potential takeover
That's a brilliant idea. I would buy one of those despite how far away I live. And there are plenty who live closer who work some Saturdays, have family commitments etc etc but still make it to a reasonable amount of games.
I've set up an area on the BBS to work on this idea http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?151-Team-Tarn Please have a look round. Keep the chat to the suggestions ideas thread and we can create new threads as and when neeeded. That way we can keep on top of this better I think.
Haven't we done all this before though? we used to have the suggestions threads and nothing ever came of them. The scoreboard thread we had where the BBS were going to raise funds and organise it, the club heard about it and hijacked it and now they've thrown it out of the window. You need to get the club on board first and from past experience with them that could prove difficult, they're the best club in the world for saying yes we'll sort it/look into that and nothing comes of it. Apologies for the negativity when the boards at its most positive it's been for months but a reality check may be needed when dealing with The Don and the board, solar panels, ponty bar, scoreboard etc etc...
I'm up for helping out in any way, shape or form. But as others have stated already, ONLY if the club are willing to listen etc.
With the amount of personal and professional abuse Don has had to endure, it wouldn't surprise me if he told us all to bugger off.
Thanks have added it to the log: http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthr...eting-Social-Networking&p=1242231#post1242231 Keep them coming.
