Butterfield: "Flicks is top man, got lot of respect for him." However I don't expect latest loan move will be to us
Going back is a difficult one in any walk of life, I once left a firm and a few months later was asked to go back - would have been an easy thing to do seeing as I knew everyone and everything about the firm but I felt I needed to move on and decided against it. In the case of Butterfield though, to be back playing on the pitch where he's played the best football of his career and with a load of team mates who he already knows is surely going to bring him back to his best if he is ever going to get there again? Be interested to know if Don or Flicker have actually made any enquiries about him over the last few days?
Why would we need a deserter who wasn't up for the fight by staying with us? Why would we want someone who believed his four months of hype? Why would we want someone who hasn't properly recovered from a serious injury to the point where his club want to loan him out again for games? Quite happy with Perkins and Dawson in centre mid. Don't want him personally.
Id have him back..............but not at the expense of signing players in positions that we are in desperate need of, ie: Two tall comanding centre backs Tall strong centre forward Fox in the box type striker
