It's being shown on the Discovery Channel (Sky channel 520) at 2am tonight - might be some reruns as well.
It's in 2 parts - 2am tonight and tomorrow night (going out at same time as it it goes out in US) and repeated at 8pm tomorrow and Sat. http://www.discoveryuk.com/the-loop/exclusive-lance-armstrong-interview/
I don't see how ex-sponsors can sue him. He wasn't tainted at the time and they will have had the full benefits of his fame and pulling power. They shouldn't have a leg to stand on for me but I can see them trying.
Why would he give anything back? Drug use was common during his era. Most of the top guys were on something. Why do you think the 7 tours he has had taken away were not given to the 2nd placed finishers etc? Very few riders were clean at that time and some of the stuff they were taking wasn't illegal until it was discovered they were using it. It you don't believe me just look at how the average times have dropped since then. Athletics had a much bigger problem in the 60s-80s with the USA, USSR and East Germany leading the way. Loads of footballers took stuff but they weren't tested like they are today.
One of his team mates who came out and said he'd used and then said Lance Armstrong had also used, is possibly going to sue because Armstrong consistently said he was a liar.
And The Times want their 750K settlement back for a libel case where they labelled him a drugs cheat!
So because other people did it as well makes it OK does it? Cheating your way to earn millions of $$$$ is fraud as far as I am concerned. Where's the deterrent to stop people from doing it if they they can get away with it for years and still live in one of their mansions across the world when they are found out. I hope Armstrong gets sued for all he's got.
Just seen that they posted this advert for oprah in a us newspaper http://i.imgur.com/a3gji.jpg Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
The ones who lost the court case because he was lying on the stand should have a good go - although it might have passed the statute of limitations for perjury in the USA....
I personally hope he has to publicly apologize, dish the dirt on everyone who was involved, and then possibly he might be forgiven if he rides the 2014 TDF by himself in between the caravan and the peloton allowing the fans to show how much they appreciate his good work for the sport. You could make a fortune selling rotten fruit to throw at him....
