It seems to be a point scoring debate at the moment. While ever he's at Oakwell and in the squad he should get our support.Having said that who ever is in the team/squad should get full support that also includes Wiseman.Whether we think a player is good enough or not if selected they should all get our backing.
He has always had the backing of the fans. It was only 1 game when he's come in for abuse during a game. I think the direct criticism of Wiseman has been massively exaggerated.
I agree he's had fairly good support at Oakwell. My point is no matter who's in the squad should have our support.Like Flitcroft as said we need everyone on board to get out of trouble.
Every player that pulls on the red shirt of Barnsley has always, and will always get my support/backing/encouragement at the game. But I reserve the right to use vehicles such as this to vent my frustrations from time to time, which will often include criticism of players who IMO aren't performing. And if there are better players not being selected, I will question why. Simple really.
Better than hassell but far from perfect.hassell recovery from his aberrations is excellent as born out by his amazing last. Min well timed tackles
If its all about Hassell and Wiseman I feel its quite irrelevant because Stones is better than them both.
It's just ridiculous booing the players during the game. How on Earth is that going to improve them. If we make mistakes at work we get annoyed when people point it out to us, so having a few hundred jeering us would be unthinkable. You watch Flitcroft, because he always makes a point of shouting to and encouraging any player who has just made a mistake, in an attempt to gee them up. The time for inquests and criticism is in the dressing room after the game and on the training pitch, where measures can be taken to avoid repeating the mistakes. It's a shame that we're away for a few weeks though, because it would be a shame to lose the positivity that's suddenly arisen. Let's hope we can come back to Oakwell with a few points in the bag, so that we can keep the momentum for the Millwall match.
I don't think either of them have ever been as good as Stones. Both Hassell and Wiseman are League 1 standard at best. This "Sir Bobby" business gets on my tit. I don't doubt his loyalty to the Club, I would be loyal for 200k+, but he far from being one of our top defenders of all time.
